Mike’s Point.

Just when I think I have seen it all – something else presents itself to make me shake my head. As a seasoned real estate professional, I have surfed the wave of industry changes since 1998 and have had the luxury of working for approx. 1,000 clients along the way. I have seen the ups and downs with interest rates and I have experienced the mass hysteria for equity development and quick property resale. So I understand the power of the real estate bug - how it bites hard and doesn’t let go no matter what the market looks like…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve received the phone calls from friends and clients over that past 7 years who are all pumped up and ready to talk real estate. Typically, they just finished watching one of those paid infomercials on how to get rich in real estate and they are getting ready to send “three-easy payments of $29.95″ for the program. They ask me my advice of it…I often have to bite my tongue. What people do not understand is real estate takes time to understand and you can get hurt financially if you rush into it.

Real estate is more than just buying and selling. It has other moving parts that make the engine for success move forward. All too often one of the moving parts are broken and a client finds them self in an unfavorable position or with a business plan that is half-baked. As much as my career has been launched by working with well-informed real estate clients, I still hold a special amount of focus in reserve to educate, guide and protect those wanting to compete for the American Dream. Unfortunately, some of those real estate adventure seekers are sometimes the worst listeners.

If I get a chance to work with you in either real estate representation or mortgage lending you will find out first hand how I sincerely work to protect and advise my clients. However in the event we never meet…I encourage the readers of this blog to read closely as I am sure there will be something that may help you down the road.
